CED provides the consultancy, design and professional supervision of solar installations. We are using top quality hot water system components - collectors, storage tanks, pumps, controls and back-up systems.
We plan, design and install Solar Hot Water Systems, be it for the simple residential home or for a more sophisticated system, like a swimming pool.
Our services are utilizing f r e e l y available solar power to supply the hot water required by the clients.

The system is economical and built for large energy savings as it supplies a significant portion of the yearly energy consumption otherwise required for heating water. The running costs of the system are low in comparison to heating by solely conventional energy, and can be integrated into existing heating systems thus minimizing expenses normally incurred when using traditional energy sources, like coal, oil or gas only.

Company History

In 2001, CED LTD was formed, focusing on the new aspect of promoting green energy.
However, the company did not have to start from scratch, - being in business for over 15 years at a former company, COMBIGAS LTD - knowledge and expertise was carried over via manpower into the new business.

Already in 1992 our first Solar System was installed - and a constantly growing demand for Energy Saving Measures provided the opportunity to expand the business in this line - resulting in a ratio of two thirds dealing with design & installing of solar systems, operating mainly in the (West-) Cork / Kerry area, but also spreading this radius as far as Galway, Tipperary, and other adjacent Counties.

We believe that it is the task of our generation to develop practical means to take full advantage of

solar and other green energy, thus reducing the danger of climatic changes.
